It’s Laundry Day at The Wardrobe! Also known as the day we share more about what we’re loving in fashion right now, and what we’re not. Here’s the roundup, straight from The Wardrobe:

Clean

Juliet Caps

Traditionally a bridal veil shape of the 1920s and 30s, the Juliet Cap is this season’s new headwear. We’re seeing these in crochet and knit patterns, fun colors, and most importantly, combining another trend we’re loving, with charms! UGH! We can’t take it! Whether you plan to make your own or snag one in stores, we predict these caps are going to adorn the heads of fashion girls everywhere this season.

Leather Boots

We recently came upon a treasure trove of vintage leather boots, and we haven’t stopped wearing them since they arrived in the mail, straight from the Etsy shop. We’re obsessed with the craftsmanship of things built to last, and we encourage you to shop vintage if you’re looking to style them this season. There’s nothing like the click clack of real leather vintage boots.

Embracing Autumn

Somewhere along the way, it became “basic” to love the fall. Don’t hold back if you’re excited about this season. Embrace everything that comes with it. Order the latte. Bake the cookies. Light the candle. Wear the boots. Buy the pumpkins. Because what’s the alternative? Secretly missing out on things you enjoy in the name of being cool? No thanks!

Dirty

“Flattering” Outfits

We’ve seen a return of the baggy, oversized, drop waist, and straight cut silhouettes in recent years. Slowly, fashion, and fashion enthusiasts, are moving away from a style of dressing that adheres to traditional ideas of what is deemed flattering for one’s figure. In an exciting fashion trend, we’ve seen many embrace the silhouette and shape of the clothing they’re wearing, rather than how the clothing fits on their body. Remove “flattering” from your vocabulary, and fill your wardrobe with things you love!

Fast Fashion

It’s not groundbreaking to see us denounce fast fashion, as most other fashion enthusiasts have. We’ve come to learn that fast fashion brands are not using ethical or sustainable practices as they produce their clothing. The war on fast fashion is still raging on, and while we can’t tell you what to purchase, we’ll remind you to think ethically when it comes to your fashion consumption!

Thanks for reading the first installment of Laundry Day. We have a lot of folding to do. See ya!
